Additional fees apply for these services, however, the decision of what to have done is always left up to you. These convenient services can help your home look its best by eliminating unsightly stains, preventing future stains, repairing minor carpet challenges and deodorizing pet odor.

Spots vs Stains

What is your rug covering up, a spot or a stain? Did you know there was a difference between spots and stains? Spots start as a sticky residue that attracts soils. Spot removal is included in our carpet cleaning price because spots typically come out during the standard cleaning process. Stains, on the other hand, occur when a color has been added to or removed from the carpet (red wine, coffee, bleach, etc.). We do charge a minimal fee for stain removal because of the extra time and specialized chemicals involved to restore your carpet. How can you keep from paying for stain removal and having unsightly carpet in the mean time? Have carpet protectant applied to your carpet at every cleaning. Below we explain why carpet protection might be the right choice for you.

Why protect your carpet? If the carpet in your home will remain a permanent fixture for years to come, then carpet protectant is the way to go. Applying carpet protectant to new carpet will further enhance the protection of and extend the life of your investment (most new carpets are treated with some form of carpet protectant). When applied at every cleaning, scotchguard will keep your carpet looking and feeling great, by repelling soils, helping prevent spots, and keeping stains from setting in. Even if your carpet isn’t new, having it protected after a deep cleaning will extend the life of it by keeping soils from adhering to the fibers and making it difficult for stains to set in.

Have you had koolaid spilled on your carpet before? Once treated with scotchguard, just get out the shop vac and vacuum up the koolaid before it dries. We would be happy to show you a demonstration of the power of carpet protectant before your carpet cleaning. If you choose to have us apply carpet protectant, we’ll even give you a free bottle of spot remover to help with those stains you don’t catch right away. *While carpet protectant does not completely eliminate the potential for staining, especially from ink and oil based products (markers, pens, lipstick, etc.), it will help stains come out easier.

Pet Odor Elimination

Urine can be the first thing people smell when they enter a house with pets who have soiled the carpet. If you find the spot while it is still wet, remember to absorb as much urine as possible out of the carpet. Have you tried cleaning the spots you see with the over- the-counter pet urine cleaner, but the stain and/or smell remains? Chances are the store bought cleaner helped get the surface clean (at least temporarily), but the rest of the mess settled into the carpets. It’s also possible there are more spots than you realize.

Using a combination of these products and our professional machinery, we can remove the sight and smell left behind. Please note, if the urine odor is trapped in the padding of your carpet at severely high levels, the padding may need to be replaced.
